Explore Eritrea in 8 days, from the Italian-era streets of Asmara to the highlands of Keren, the historic port of Massawa, and the peaceful Dahlak Islands.
Experience local culture, historic sites, markets, clear Red Sea waters, and scenic landscapes with experienced local guides and comfortable stays throughout your journey.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Asmara
Arrival in Asmara and warm welcome at the airport. Transfer and check-in at Hotel Crystal, a comfortable, centrally located hotel with hot water and Wi‑Fi. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Eritrean dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 2&3: Keren
Travel to Keren for a two-day visit. Explore the city and its famous camel market, offering an authentic glimpse into local life and culture.
Day 4: Asmara
Discover Asmara, known for its remarkable Italian-era architecture, historic cafés, and the unique Medeber recycling market.
Day 5: Massawa
Travel from the highlands to the Red Sea coast. Explore the historic old town of Massawa, with its historic buildings and distinctive coastal atmosphere. Overnight in Massawa.
Day 6&7: Dahlak Archipelago
Set out by boat to the Dahlak Islands for two days of island exploration and snorkeling. Spend two nights camping on the islands and enjoy freshly prepared meals during your stay.
Day 8:History or Natura
On your final day, you can choose your experience:
Option 1 – Qohaito Archaeological Site
Visit the ancient site of Qohaito, with ruins, rock-cut structures, and breathtaking views over the escarpment.
Option 2 – Trekking & Local Life
Enjoy trekking in the highlands and visit local markets outside Asmara for a last taste of everyday Eritrean life.
In the evening, we share a farewell dinner, then transfer you to the airport for your departure.
